HP: Alchemy? Nah, It's Crafting

Chapter 398 - 398: 398: Food And Fun

Chapter 398 - 398: 398: Food And Fun

As Sirius awkwardly squeezed the horse's sides with his legs, the horse beneath him shot forward like a bolt of lightning.Horse and rider instantly charged toward the wall.

"FAAAAaaahh!"

The difference was that the horse had collision boundaries, so it stopped one or two centimeters from the wall.

Sirius, however, was directly launched forward by the tremendous inertia.

"Urg.. Bloody hell! Why is the horse perfectly fine while I..."

Sirius slid slowly down the wall like a wet piece of toilet paper slapped onto glass.

"Alchemy business. Don't ask questions."

Kasenhis replied with a raised eyebrow.

Still, Kasenhis had learned something from the experiment.

The horses became absurdly fast after receiving a Speed Potion.

Which meant their normal speed wasn't exactly slow either.

So, being the considerate person he was, he went around secretly applying Slowness Potions to all the horses, modestly improving everyone's safety.

Sirius, meanwhile, had clearly learned his lesson.

Like someone bitten once by a snake and afraid of ropes for the next ten years, he decisively cast an Iron Armour Charm on himself.

The charm certainly protected Sirius.

Unfortunately, according to the Law of Conservation of Damage, whenever Sirius was smacked off his horse by a polo mallet that came flying out of some random corner and slammed into a wall, the wall inevitably ended up with a massive hole in it.

Sirius was safe.

Black Manor was not.

Everyone kept playing until noon.

Only when hunger finally got the better of them did they stop.

Otherwise, in such a cramped space, if they actually played long enough to determine a winner, somebody might have ended up missing an arm or a leg.

The extremely brutal kind.

At lunchtime, however, the atmosphere became rather strange.

Everyone gathered together and turned their attention toward Kasenhis, who was sitting on a small sofa.

After thinking for a moment, Kasenhis nodded.

"Oh. You want to sample some pixel-style cuisine, huh?"

Everyone nodded.

"After all, making food for you is just a matter of waving your hand."

Dumbledore added, clearly a little unhappy that the pixelated food Kasenhis casually created through alchemy somehow tasted better than the elaborate dishes he and Grindelwald painstakingly prepared.

"Alright then. Sirius, Lupin, help me gather some ingredients. I'll go modify the kitchen."

With that, Kasenhis headed toward the kitchen.

The moment he stepped inside, he suddenly felt the number of eyes on his back increase exponentially.

Turning around, he discovered that practically everyone who possessed eyes was watching to see what kind of ridiculous contraption he was about to create.

Kasenhis didn't mind.

Let them watch.

It wasn't like he was afraid of being watched.

He first examined the kitchen layout, then found an empty corner and built a fully automated rail-grill system.

At the starting end sat a chest connected to a hopper. Ingredients were placed into the chest, then, after pulling a lever, the hopper fed them into a minecart.

The minecart transported the ingredients through a floating lava pool, then dumped the fully cooked food onto a serving plate before returning to collect the next order.

The principle was extremely simple.

Now all that remained was for those two to bring back the ingredients.

"Can't you just directly create food? Why go through all this trouble?"

Dumbledore asked.

"Because freshly cooked food is always better than pre-made food."

Kasenhis explained.

After finishing that, he set up a crafting table in another corner.

Then his hands moved like a DJ working turntables, flying up and down at incredible speed as he slammed various ingredients onto the table.

Cookies, bread, little cakes...

In the blink of an eye, the countertop beside him was piled high with food.

While Dumbledore was still rubbing his eyes in disbelief, the highly perceptive Cedric quietly walked into the kitchen and naturally assumed the role of food carrier.

"Look at him, then look at yourself."

Kasenhis found time amid his busy crafting to throw a jab at Dumbledore over his shoulder.

"Oh.... well, people do get slower as they get older."

Dumbledore shrugged helplessly and continued watching Kasenhis's performance in the kitchen.

Soon afterward, Sirius and Lupin returned, each with a variety of meats floating behind them.

Following Kasenhis's instructions, they dumped everything into the source chest of the automated rail-grill and pulled the lever.

"Kasenhis, let's have some vegetables as well. My stomach hasn't been feeling great lately."

Dumbledore placed his order.

"As for vegetables..."

Kasenhis stared at the ceiling at a forty-five-degree angle.

....

A moment later, everyone once again witnessed a watermelon with perfectly sharp edges.

While square watermelons did exist in the real world thanks to molds, a watermelon with corners sharp enough to cut skin was perhaps a bit too impressive.

"This watermelon is quite sweet, though. I wonder whether watermelon counts as dietary fiber."

Dumbledore sat at the dining table, eating watermelon as he spoke.

"You could try the bread. That bread is made entirely from wheat. I didn't even bother grinding it into flour first. It's the definition of whole grain."

Kasenhis's voice drifted out from the kitchen.

"Are whole grains and dietary fiber the same thing?"

Dumbledore asked in confusion.

Soon, all the food inside the automated rail-grill finished cooking.

Kasenhis immediately put his mechanical arms into overdrive, transferring mountains of food from the kitchen to the dining table.

Toward the end, he simply started using Ender teleportation to move the dishes directly.

What a tremendous amount of work.

Even Kasenhis, using the power of Minecraft, was exhausted after preparing such a huge feast.

Which only made one think of Mrs. Weasley, who usually cooked for the entire Order of the Phoenix by herself...

Molly Weasley was truly something else.

After everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, Kasenhis once again entered automatic wandering mode throughout Black Manor.

Eventually, his wandering carried him all the way to the wine cellar.

Incidentally, he had forgotten to turn off his auto-pickup.

As a result, before long, a small drinking club had once again formed in a corner of the first floor.

Kasenhis grabbed bottle after bottle and kept pouring alcohol straight down his throat.

Sirius, Lupin, Hagrid, and the others tried to stop him, but none of them could.

And once Kasenhis started drinking, he also started talking nonsense...

"Why am I so pathetic?!"

"I can't forget her!"

"I think this is emotional attachment!"

"I really think she's different!"

"I was the one who dumped her, but now I regret it!"

"What the hell is he talking about?"

Sirius asked in bewilderment.

"No clue~"

The other two shrugged just as helplessly.

"UwU!!!!!!!!!!"

"...."

"....."
