Chapter 220 Extra: Branwin and Alaric
Chapter 220 Extra: Branwin and Alaric
(Avoid lightning strikes, twins, and bone fragments)
Of the two children, Emeric was most worried about Branwin, fearing he would ruin himself and Alaric, and sometimes had to keep a close eye on him.
"Severus, are we doing the right thing?" Emeric was unusually confused. He didn't know how to teach his other self well, or how to protect his two children.
"You're so thoughtful, you've inherited it all from Branwyn." Severus didn't know what to do either. Over the years, Branwyn's paranoia had become more and more severe, to the point that Alaric would have an attack if he spoke a few words to someone.
"Besides, do you think Alaric doesn't know?" Severus ruffled Emeric's hair. "He's enjoying it too. Maybe Branwyn is someone he spoiled."
He sighed, preparing to shatter Emeric's preconceived notions about the two children. "Don't forget, Branwyn inherited our darker side, though Alaric only inherited a fraction of it. Do you think he'd be stupid enough not to notice?"
"Not to mention that brat is intentionally or unintentionally seducing Branwyn. If he didn't have some ulterior motives, the potion I put in would have exploded." Severus rolled his eyes. After teaching for so many years, what hadn't he seen? Couldn't he see that there was something fishy going on between the two?
Emeric believed the children were too young and felt it necessary to intervene to prevent them from doing something they would regret.
"Putting everything else aside, you were only a few years old back then and you dared to have feelings for me." Severus casually gave an example, and seeing Emeric's guilty look, he continued, "They just liked each other, it's not like they suddenly said they liked someone more than ten years older than them. Compared to your feat back then, they were practically well-behaved."
"Hehe..." Emeric feigned ignorance. Who can predict matters of the heart? If he hadn't acted quickly back then, how could he have brought Severus home? "Let them be. As long as they don't fight, they can do whatever they want."

"Brother, let's hurry, class is about to start." Alaric carried the two of their books; their next class was Severus's Potions class, and they absolutely couldn't be late.
"Okay." Branwyn let Alaric lead him, his gaze drifting over the group of little witches, feeling particularly smug.
Ever since his identity was exposed, there have been constant attempts to interfere in his relationship with Alaric, and pink envelopes would frequently appear on their desk. This made him increasingly uneasy, feeling that sooner or later Alaric would leave him.
"Alaric, why are they glaring at me?" Branwyn, his brow furrowed in confusion, clearly inherited the "green tea" vibe. He gently pulled his hand away from hers. "Maybe we should go our separate ways."
"You're my brother, why should we separate?" Alaric emphasized the word "brother," deliberately teasing Branwin. He had already seen through Branwin's intentions and hoped that Amoric wouldn't beat him up out of pity.
"Yes, that's right." Branwyn almost ground his teeth to powder, but he had no choice but to accept it. Sooner or later, he would make Alaric admit that they were partners.
Gradually, the students learned that Alaric and Branwyn were inseparable, even though they were already sixteen years old and still slept in the same bed.
"Ugh—brother." Alaric raised his hand to shield his eyes from the glaring sunlight. He didn't want to get up; he just wanted to keep sleeping.
"Get up. The first period is Father's class, and the second period is Dad's class. If you're late, I can't save you." Branwin fully opened the curtains. He had already changed his shirt, only his tie was untied. He was just waiting for Alaric to get up and help him.
"Sigh." After sighing, Alaric got up. He patted Branwyn's head and pulled up his collar to cover the hickeys. They never went all the way; they only dared to kiss and leave hickeys on each other.
There were just too many people trying to rob them; leaving a mark was the only way they could barely hold off some of them. Sometimes Branwin really wanted to lock Alaric up so that those people couldn't see his upper body, but if he dared to do that, Emeric would throw him into Germany within a day.
Alaric agreed wholeheartedly; he wanted to lock Branwyn up, or at least the two of them in a house so no one would bother them.
Severus warned Alaric that if he found out, he should go back to Nurmengard.
The two children could only hide their dark thoughts and pretend to be confident that the other would like them, so as not to scare the other away.
"Alaric, you go to class first. I need to talk to Branwyn." Emeric stopped him and handed him a leave slip.
"Okay, Dad." Alaric wasn't worried at all. He and Branwyn had no secrets, and this time would be no different.
After everyone had gone, Emeric took out a ring and handed it to him; it was filled with all sorts of things. Branwyn casually opened a box and saw that it was full of bottles and jars, and next to it were various clothes, some of which were so scant that they barely covered anything.
"Father? What are you giving me all this for?" Branwin was uncharacteristically speechless. He was usually a man of few words, sometimes leaving Severus speechless.
Emeric rolled his eyes, a gesture he'd made quite often over the years. "Of course I'm your father. How could I not know what you're planning to do on your birthday?"
"Severus and I will be away from home this week. As long as you don't tear down the principal's office, you can do whatever you want."
"Thank you, Father." Branwin exclaimed sincerely. He hadn't expected Severus and Emeric to accept it so gently; he had thought they would have a fight.
"Oh, by the way, take a look at the instructions. Some of the ingredients contain drugs. Don't look at me like that." Emeric pinched Branwyn's cheeks. "This is for you to relax. Don't be like a block of wood. How can anyone feel anything?"
He knew exactly what Branwin wanted to ask, and preemptively explained, "We don't think we can't see through your little tricks, we just don't say anything. We're old enough to let you have your way."
Emeric waved his hand and headed to class with his lesson plan. "If you don't leave soon, Severus will get angry. My leave slip only lasts half an hour, and there are only ten minutes left." Branwyn immediately took off running.
Back in the principal's office after class, Branwin felt a little embarrassed, as did Alaric. Before class, Severus had given him a brooch filled with various clothes and all sorts of strange props.
If it weren't for the scent of Severus, Alaric would have suspected someone had impersonated his father to ruin their reputation.
"Brother, let's take a bath and go to bed early today." Alaric secretly looked forward to it. After the two adults finished celebrating their birthdays, they disappeared.
"Hmm," Branwyn replied, blushing, as he also remembered what he had received that day.
In this way, the two got close to each other, their feelings for each other quickly warmed up, and they became even closer.
