Chapter 169: Visitors from Outer Space
Chapter 169: Visitors from Outer Space
In the time calculation concept of the three hyperspace travel star system fleets of the Earth Empire, a few days after Zhou Yuan's conversation with Karina and Sluff, the Pandora, Baloo, and Earth Empire fleets all received hyperspace communication messages from the other two major allies, the Zula and Zelo civilization fleets. Two and a half months later, the sixteen globular cluster fleets of the Pandora and Baloo civilizations parted ways with the three star system fleets of the Earth Empire.
Half a month later, Tianxing-3, Tianxing-4, and the Capital Galaxy exited hyperspace and entered normal space.
Zhou Yuan and his companions were astonished to observe that ahead of them, a gigantic galactic dome filled the entire space, each luminous galaxy resembling a bright lattice. This was still part of the first cosmic Great Wall.
Based on the hyperspace communication information previously provided by the Zula and Zelo civilization fleets, the three star system fleets also parted ways and headed directly in three directions towards the star system dome.
The capital galaxy, entering the galactic dome. The density of galaxies here is extremely high; these numerous galaxies are like strings strung together, forming a grid of the galactic dome, each galaxy rotating rapidly.
The capital star system stopped in a region near a grid-like star cluster. These star clusters contain many intelligent civilizations, each with varying levels of strength. The most powerful of these civilizations are capable of warp drive.
When Earth Empire warships suddenly appeared near the home planets of these intelligent civilizations, the slightly higher-level intelligent civilizations were thrown into a panic. Then, under the influence of the force field generators deployed by the Earth Empire fleet, the home planets and their suns of these intelligent civilizations became star-level "halo gardens," directly accelerating into hyperspace travel and converging towards a certain interstellar space in the Capital Galaxy. Zhou Yuan called this interstellar space in the Capital Galaxy, which gathers many intelligent civilizations, "Hall of Wisdom Gathering."
After all the intelligent civilizations in this grid-like galaxy region were relocated, the capital galaxy underwent hyperspace travel, moved to another grid-like galaxy group in the galactic dome, and in the same way, the home planets of the intelligent civilizations in these galaxies and their suns were also relocated to the "Wisdom Gathering Hall" in the capital galaxy.
The Earth Empire's capital star system fleet moved rapidly across the cosmic Great Wall star system's dome, relocating those intelligent civilizations.
A month later, Tianxing-4, Tianxing-3, and the Capital Star System converged, and the three star system fleets of the Earth Empire relocated the home planets and suns of more than 3,800 intelligent civilizations.
After sending farewell messages via hyperspace communication to their four allies, the three star fleets accelerated into hyperspace and began their journey toward the second cosmic Great Wall in the 65th star region. At the second cosmic Great Wall, new long ribbons of light appeared, weaving a cosmic spherical curtain as if they were forming a net.
The three star system fleets first located the Triangulum Galaxy and the Small Magellanic Cloud Galaxy. Both galaxies were still moving rapidly and approaching the Great Wall of Light, the Ribbon of Light. Because many other galaxies in the 64th Star System were also accelerating, the Earth Empire's three star system fleets had to spend considerable time relocating the home planets and suns of intelligent civilizations on the Ribbon of Light and those approaching it. Then, the three star system fleets actively searched for and relocated the intelligent civilizations in those accelerating galaxies, moving them away from their current locations.
It took the Earth Empire's three star system fleets a year and a half to relocate the intelligent civilizations from star systems 65 and 64. These three fleets transported a total of over 36,300 intelligent civilizations. Judging from the number of intelligent civilizations transported, star systems 64 and 65 are indeed auspicious cradles of intelligent civilization, which may be related to the abundance of matter mentioned by Karina.
For those intelligent civilizations capable of hyperspace travel, the Earth Empire's three star system fleets neither interfered with them nor relocated them. After the three star system fleets reached the second cosmic wall, the Earth Empire simply broadcast a hyperspace message, informing the intelligent civilizations capable of hyperspace travel that if they were willing to cooperate, they could travel to a certain location in the 65th star system within two years.
When the three star system fleets arrived at the 65th star sector, they found that six intelligent civilizations capable of hyperspace travel had already gathered and were waiting for the Earth Empire's fleet. Among these six intelligent civilizations capable of hyperspace travel, one was able to form a star cluster fleet, three were able to form star-level "halo gardens," and the other two were relatively low-level, only able to travel through hyperspace in the form of warships.
The three star system fleets began sending hyperspace communication messages to the First Cosmic Wall and the 28th Star Region. Then, the three star systems accelerated into hyperspace and returned to the 28th Star Region.
After the three star system fleets entered hyperspace, Zhou Yuan immediately read the summary data of the more than 40,000 relocated intelligent civilizations. He then conducted a secret inspection of the "Wisdom Gathering Hall" in the three star systems to observe the situation of these relocated intelligent civilizations.
Of these 40,000-plus intelligent civilizations, many are still in primitive societies, and many others are underdeveloped or underdeveloped. More than 6,000 are capable of interstellar travel, and more than 800 are capable of warp drive.
These relocated intelligent civilizations naturally discovered the sudden appearance of intelligent life-bearing planets around their home planets. Some civilizations capable of warp drive attempted to reach these planets using warp drive, but all attempts failed. This warp-space blockade was naturally a deterrent, so these intelligent civilizations could only observe their counterparts through telescopes.
Zhou Yuan made a special trip to the gray-green planet of the Elf and Mantis races in the original Triangular Galaxy. In the year 132 of the Interstellar Era, the Alpha Fleet of the Lunar Empire rescued these two civilizations in the "peanut-shaped" patterned "light speed barrier" using two "revelation stars" and artificially created wormholes to help them travel to a place one light-year away from the gray-green planet (see Chapter 66 "Patterned Barrier").
So many years have passed, and now only the elves remain on this gray-green planet. However, the civilization of the elves has long since degenerated, severely regressing from the era of interstellar travel to the Iron Age.
Zhou Yuan was very curious about what had happened to this gray-green planet.
This once gray-green planet has, due to the decline of its civilization, largely transformed into a green forest planet, though many unknown wild beasts still roam here.
A 3D scan of this green planet revealed ten settlements of elves, each some distance apart. The largest settlement, located in the northeastern part of the planet, had approximately 50,000 inhabitants. In terms of population, the elves on this planet numbered less than 200,000.
Zhou Yuan and four beautiful women, along with interstellar special forces, arrived above the largest settlement of the elves on this gray-green planet aboard several small warships.
The buildings in this settlement are all quite tall, probably because the average height of elves is two meters, but these buildings are all mud houses.
This settlement was like a "small town," with streets, shops, teahouses, and so on. Presumably due to a lack of resources, the male and female elves had sallow complexions and were rather thin, lacking the vibrant energy of the elves of the Earth Empire's Star Planet.
Stealth drones explored the settlement and discovered that only one place to the north contained what appeared to be a "library," with "books" resembling bamboo slips. Zhou Yuan and his team used the drones to photograph and videotape the contents of the bamboo slips, and then, through a translator, learned that this "library" was a sacred site of the elves, containing various "myths" and legends.
There is a thick bamboo slip with rich content, and the gist of it is as follows.
Long, long ago, the Mantis Kingdom and the Elf Kingdom, after receiving divine "revelation," broke free from their cages and gained freedom. Later, with the help of the gods and the Dark Angels, they reached this planet. Then, the Mantis King led his many mantises to ascend to the heavens, departing on a ship of light. The elven ancestors witnessed the departure and disappearance of the Mantis Kingdom, after which a devastating war broke out among the elves. The sky was filled with gigantic metallic monsters and massive fireballs; swords of light pierced mountains, mushroom clouds rose, and the earth roared in fury. The sea god also unleashed his power, sending massive waves that submerged many elven homes. The ancestors were forced to flee, and a great famine killed many more. Three hundred years ago, the ancestors finally settled here and thrived.
Zhou Yuan pieced together some of the truth from these bamboo slips.
After the Mantis and Elf races arrived on this planet, the two races lived in peace and developed together for nearly three hundred years. Their fleets even reached near-light speed. Due to the use and demand for a large amount of planetary resources, the two races fell into a delicate relationship. For this reason, a split occurred within the Elf race. The hardliners suggested war with the Mantis, while the peace faction suggested continuing to live in peace with the Mantis. Of course, there were also some neutral factions.
The Mantis Kingdom, like the Elf Kingdom, underwent a similar relocation. However, the Mantis King, adhering to ancestral teachings, ordered the entire Mantis race to make a self-sacrifice and relocate to a habitable planet over four hundred light-years away. The Mantis's righteousness and departure made the Elf race feel ashamed, exacerbating internal divisions. Twenty years after the Mantis's departure, the peace faction, uniting with the neutral faction, launched a war against the hardliners.
The civil war among the elves was naturally brutal, with all sorts of advanced weapons being used, resulting in widespread devastation and the complete destruction of all elven cities and towns on the planet.
Zhou Yuan expressed his regret. He began searching the Earth Empire and the original Pan-Interstellar Alliance planet databases but found no description of the Mantis race. Furthermore, the Mantis race did not appear among the intelligent civilizations that migrated to the Triangular Galaxy. Zhou Yuan estimated that the Mantis race had already perished during their interstellar voyages.
Zhou Yuan pondered how to ensure that these 200,000 elves received proper care, at least guaranteeing their basic needs such as food and clothing.
Zhou Yuan naturally thought of the Earth Empire's elf humans, who originated from the alien planet, among the three star system fleets. Zhou Yuan immediately summoned four Earth Empire elf humans, two men and two women. These four imperial elf humans were high-level aliens of the empire.
After saluting Zhou Yuan and the others, the four human elves, along with Zhou Yuan and his group, suddenly appeared on a street in the largest gathering place.
The elves and humans on the streets of the largest gathering place only saw a flash of golden light in the sky, and four elves and about twenty other beings appeared.
People were initially panicked and scattered, but when they saw that the "visitors from outer space" did not intend to harm them, they stopped to watch and discussed the matter.
These twenty-odd "visitors from outer space" walked to an open area and sat cross-legged in mid-air. The crowd followed and watched. Suddenly, four elves rose into the air, eliciting gasps from the crowd. The four elves formed a rectangular shape, each occupying a corner. As if casting a spell, a holographic display appeared between the four elves, showing the lifelike forms of the elf and mantis races on this awakened planet.
