Chapter 526 - 525: What He Quietly Did
Bella Acker was filming on set, and only during the break did she see the missed call on her phone.
Seeing that the caller was Bella, she was a bit puzzled.
"Why would Bella call me?" Bella Acker muttered, dialing back.
The phone rang a few times, but no one answered, and the crew staff called for her to work again.
Bella Acker had to put away her phone and continue filming.
Meanwhile, Bea had called Bella Acker, but no one answered, so in a panic, she called Damian Sinclair’s phone.
The phone rang a few times and was hung up.
"Why can’t I get through to any of them!" Bea gritted her teeth and, with the help of a waiter, carried Aunt Sienna to the hospital.
She was wearing high heels, and it was really inconvenient to carry someone like that, so she simply kicked off her heels and walked barefoot.
Bea got Aunt Sienna back to the hospital, where doctors realized that the patient had sneaked out at some point, and quickly wheeled her into the emergency room for resuscitation.
Outside, Bea waited and finally took out her phone from her bag, seeing missed calls from both Bella Acker and her brother.
Bea thought for a moment and called her brother back first.
The phone ringing only twice before it was answered, and Damian Sinclair’s voice came from the other end, "I was in a meeting just now, what’s up?"
"Brother, Aunt Sienna’s condition has worsened and she’s in the emergency room now." Bea didn’t know why she was calling her brother about Aunt Sienna’s incident; it just seemed that anything related to Bella Acker couldn’t be ignored by her brother.
There was a pause from Damian Sinclair before he said, "Hasn’t there been an agreement with the hospital to use the best imported medication for her? Didn’t they administer it to Aunt Sienna?"
"Brother, when did you communicate with the hospital?" Bea was taken aback by this information, which she wasn’t aware of.
"Earlier," Damian Sinclair didn’t elaborate, "I’ll call the hospital director, you stay there. Don’t call..."
"Brother, who don’t you want me to call? Bella Acker? Are you afraid she’ll be worried if she hears the news?"
Damian Sinclair ended the call abruptly.
Hearing the disconnect tone, Bea hummed in exasperation, "Just silently helping out without saying a word, how would anyone know you helped?"
Bea looked at her phone and ultimately decided to follow her brother’s advice and not call Bella Acker again.
She figured Bella Acker was likely working at this time, and it was better to first see Aunt Sienna’s condition before deciding whether to call her or not.
Bea waited outside the emergency room, and soon three people in white coats hurried in. Her eyesight was good, and she saw that one of them had a badge with the word ’director’ on it.
The trio had entered the emergency room, and it wasn’t long before Damian Sinclair arrived.
"Brother, why are you here?" Bea was somewhat surprised to see him appear.
"I’m quite familiar with Aunt Sienna, is there a problem with me coming to see her when she’s seriously ill?" Damian Sinclair gave her a sidelong glance indifferently.
Bea shrugged, "No problem, absolutely no problem. The doctor just told me that the painkillers Aunt Sienna uses every day are the latest and best imported drugs. I was curious and asked, only to find out that each injection costs more than eighty thousand, and they administer three injections a day, not to mention the nutritional solutions and other medications. I was wondering how Bella Acker could afford the medication costs, turns out someone is pulling strings behind the scenes and keeping quiet about it all."
"You’re so talkative."
