Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed

Chapter 324: The Unyielding Beast

Chapter 324: The Unyielding Beast

"Oh? Seems your Captain already gave up." The Dragon pointed a heavy, armored claw at Jessica, a cruel, mocking grin spreading on its reptilian lips.

The remaining ten students turned to Jessica, seeing her violently shaking, her sword dropped in the ash. Their eyes widened in profound horror; in the brutal hierarchy of Galaxy Fall, the vanguard was the shield. If Jessica falls, they will surely follow her into the grave.

"No! I won’t let it happen! I won’t." Jessica stammered, her fingers digging into the scorched earth as she blindly picked up her sword. Her words, laced with an unrecognizable grief, stunned everyone. Even the Dragon paused, tilting its massive head to the side as it analyzed her fluctuating bio-rhythms.

"Seems she has gone crazy! I will finish her first!" The monster decided, dismissing her mental break as weakness. It raised its massive battleaxe, its high-agility stats allowing it to shoot forward, bypassing the physical space to appear directly in front of Jessica in seconds, and violently smashing down.

"Die Pathetic Human!!!"

Jessica gripped her sword with both hands, the fractured memories of a ruined timeline merging with her present reality. She looked up, her Mythic Eye bleeding, and screamed with the absolute authority of a fallen general: "I won’t let it happen again!!"

BOOOOM!!

A suffocating, violent Demonic energy burst out from her core. The crimson-black aura exploded outward, violently smashing into the dragon with the force of a meteor, instantly sending the colossal beast flying backward.

BAM!!

The gatekeeper smashed heavily into the ground, skidding right in front of the dimensional gateway, its draconic face filled with genuine surprise as its armor cracked.

"Captain?" The sword academy’s students were entirely stunned, unable to comprehend the sudden, explosive shift in her aura.

"I won’t let it happen again! Even if I will die, I won’t let that repeat itself!!" She shot forward, her physical limits entirely broken by the demonic override. Her Mythic Eye was spinning violently.

"Three souls dividing Technique!!" She screamed, rising her glowing sword sharply upward, channeling the dark energy into her ultimate art.

BOOOOM!!

The very sky above Brooklyn cracked opened, revealing a localized dimensional rift. Thousands of ethereal sword tips descended from the sky, humming with lethal intent, all aiming precisely at the fallen dragon.

"Die!!!"

Jessica dropped her sword in a vicious, downward arc, sending a huge, crescent-shaped wave of condensed sword energy tearing through the earth, while the hundreds of swords in the sky simultaneously shot down like a rain of death.

BOOOOM!!!!

The combined weight of the attacks smashed right into the dragon’s coordinates, causing a massive, ground-shattering mushroom explosion that swallowed the gateway in dust and dark light.

The Sword Academy’s team stood with wide eyes, their faces pale and filled with shock and disbelief, as they stared at Jessica, who stood suspended in the air.

"Did she win?" Nirvana asked, holding her bleeding arm, desperate for a miracle.

"I don’t know." Ethan added, his hand holding his sword shaking in primal fear.

"I don’t get it, why does she have Demonic energy? Is she a demon?" Gracie asked in deep confusion, her knowledge conflicting with reality as she stared at the red-dark energy violently swirling around Jessica. The Demon Race was the enemy of humanity.

"I don’t care if she is a demon or a human, all I know is, she saved us." Andrew said firmly, his gaze fixed unblinkingly at the center of the explosion.

Survival trumped prejudice.

"Hehehe... You actually injured me."

"...?!"

They all froze in absolute shock. Up in the air, Jessica frowned, staring down at the dust clearing. The dragon casually walked out of the epicenter of the explosion. A deep, jagged blade mark could be seen etched across its impenetrable chest plate, with thick, corrosive black blood flowing out, sizzling as it hit the pavement.

"You can be injured, it means you can also be killed." Jessica said, her voice dropping to a lethal calm as her demonic energy continued flowing endlessly into her vibrating blade.

"Hehehe... You think you can kill me? You aren’t qualified." As it spoke, the four jagged horns on its head started glowing with a blinding, violet light, acting as conduits for abyssal plasma.

"You haven’t seen the terror of a pure dragon!!!"

It threw its heavy head backward, facing its maw directly into the ash-choked sky:

"I will show you what terror looks like!!!"

BOOOOM!!

"....?!!"

Everyone was horrified, their survival instincts screaming as they watched a dense ball of violet flames appear above the dragon’s mouth. It started rapidly expanding. From a tiny, compressed flame, it grew into the size of a beach ball, and kept growing exponentially until it rivaled a small sun.

"You bastard!!"

Jessica refused to yield. She raised her sword high into the air, over-drawing her energy reserves. Blood flowed freely down her nose from her over-clocked celestial eye, mapping a desperate combination of spells:

"Fire style-Phoenix tide, Lightning Grave, water style-water dragon, and three souls dividing Technique!!"

BOOOOM!!

The elements answered her chaotic summons. Scorching fire and freezing water appeared behind her, twisting and taking the majestic form of a ten-meter-tall Phoenix of pure flame, and a ten-meter-tall, roaring water dragon. High-voltage lightning bolts dropped from the sky, heavily saturating the area, followed by hundreds of ethereal swords reforming in the rift.

"Die!!!"

She yelled, pushing her hands forward and sending all the catastrophic attacks hurtling towards dragon, who was still charging its ultimate attack.

’This human! Seems I shouldn’t hold back again!’ It thought, recognizing the lethal threat of the combined elemental fusion. Its four horns glowed even brighter, reaching critical mass.

"Four horns dragon annihilation Ball!!"

It leveled his massive head, facing Jessica’s incoming tsunami of magic, and released the hyper-condensed fireball, sending the apocalyptic sphere hurtling straight towards the students.

BOOOOM!!

"Get out of the way!!" Nirvana yelled at the remaining students, her instincts firing as she leaped desperately to the side. The clash wasn’t even a contest. The gigantic annihilation ball completely, effortlessly overpowered Jessica’s ultimate combination, vaporizing the water dragon and Phoenix upon contact.

"This?!" Jessica quickly activated her strongest defense skill, crossing her arms as the draconic fireball shattered all her remaining attacks into harmless sparks.

BOOOOM!!!

The attack couldn’t be stopped. It kept on moving in a devastating linear path, vaporizing the asphalt, instantly destroying every single obstacle, building, and vehicle on its way until it violently carved a trench all the way to the city border.

The eleven surviving students turned to the destruction, staring at the huge, molten line of absolute destruction carved into Brooklyn before them.

"What sort of monster is this?!!" A girl yelled in sheer, mind-breaking horror.

"The one who will kill you."

The dark, abyssal voice whispered directly behind her. She froze, her mind screaming at her to run, to dodge, to do anything. But the sheer draconic pressure locked her joints; her leg couldn’t even move an inch.

"Watch out, Alice!!" Ethan yelled, turning as the Dragon effortlessly grabbed Alice’s head in its massive claw, and turned to the rest of the group with its blood-chilling grin.

BAM!!

High above, Jessica’s defenses finally broke. She was swatted from the sky, smashing heavily into the ground some distance from them, her demonic aura flickering out as she shakily got to her feet, bruised and broken.

"You survived that? I am impressed." The gatekeeper said.

"How can such a monster exist on this planet?!" Nirvana asked in shock, she was kneeling on the ground, holding her arm, blood all over her face, her breath hitching in her throat as she looked up at the impossible nightmare that had come to Earth.
