Chapter 865: The Opening Of The Megaverse Crossroads (1)

Whoosh!

Hmm? This is? Wu Yuan felt everything blur before finding himself standing in a vast temple, where dozens of figures were already present.

These figures were all High Immortals and High Eldritches, but each possessed formidable auras - some emanating destructive energy, others cold as glaciers, and some even more frightening than stars. Each one approached or rivaled the power of an Astral Monarch.

These super geniuses stood about casually, chatting amongst themselves, each exuding an air of confidence.

So many geniuses. Wu Yuan marveled silently, his eyes brightening as he sensed their extraordinary natures. None were much weaker than himself. Some, it seemed, were even stronger!

At a glance, Wu Yuan determined that these geniuses must be the absolute top-tier talents from the Eldritch Court Universe and its various branch universes. Each genius ranked among the top five, top three, or even first place of all prodigies in their respective universes.

Indeed, he had abundant talent and opportunities, standing at the pinnacle of the entire Ling Jiang Universe. However, the megaverse was boundless, and with providence converging, numerous monstrous prodigies would emerge. Perhaps other successors of supreme beings were hiding among them.

A Supreme Genius refers to the strongest tier of geniuses within one river of space and time, because in most eras, High Immortals and High Deities rarely cross paths with geniuses from other rivers of space and time.

But this is an era where the Megaverse Crossroads will open! Wu Yuan thought to himself, his heart burning with passion.

If so many monstrous prodigies had emerged from the Eldritch Court alone, how many super geniuses would gather across the entire megaverse?

Those born in this era were destined to compete with countless talented individuals!

If I’m going to participate, then I should aim to be the strongest among them. Wu Yuan felt an endless yearning in his heart.

This desire wasn’t just for the opportunities on the Megaverse Crossroads, but for the desire to reach the ultimate peak.

A short cultivation period? That was no excuse. If one couldn't even become the strongest of their era, what right did they have to speak of breaking the shackles of heaven and earth, becoming supreme? Let alone breaking free from the constraints of the Ancestral Pagoda.

So many geniuses. Standing to the side, the black-armored Xuan Rong’s eyes were wide, feeling rather unremarkable among this gathering of super geniuses.

When Wu Yuan and Xuan Rong appeared, the geniuses already present in the hall turned to look at them.

"That's Xuan Rong, who has mastered a Sovereign-level technique."

"The other must be Wu Yuan."

"He defeated Mu Long from the Immortal Court. I heard from my Master that Wu Yuan's strength should ultimately allow him to rank in the top hundred. He comprehends the Great Dao of Creation, his power is terrifying."

"His cultivation years are very short, but his talent is immense." These super geniuses quickly exchanged information.

They were the most valued geniuses in their respective branch Saintdoms, usually communicating directly with Overlords, thus having access to detailed intelligence. Furthermore, few geniuses had access to this temple, so it was easy to identify newcomers with just a brief analysis.

"Wu Yuan, it seems your reputation far exceeds mine." Xuan Rong said in a low voice.

"That's because they don't know your true strength." Wu Yuan smiled.

"If they knew, they'd look down on me even more." Xuan Rong grimaced.

On their way here, he had sparred with Wu Yuan four times, suffering crushing defeats each time. At this point, he had come to fully recognize reality.

"In terms of Dao comprehension level, we're quite close." Wu Yuan smiled as he transmitted his voice: "Once you break through and fully comprehend a Greater Law, you'll also be among the top ranks of these geniuses."

Xuan Rong was immediately speechless. Break through? If breaking through were that easy, that would be real nice.

"Greetings, Brother Wu Yuan, Brother Xuan Rong," a gentle voice rang out.

An elegant, white-robed High Immortal approached the two, smiling: "I am Cang Yu, from the Violet Night Saintdom of the Eldritch Court."

"Cang Yu?" Xuan Rong smiled: "I've heard of you, you comprehend the Great Dao of Destruction, and your power is truly terrifying."

"It’s still lacking somewhat." Cang Yu smiled.

"This is normal." High Immortal Cang Yu sighed: "The Eldritch Court Universe is the most perfect universe, the powerhouses and geniuses it produces can rival two or three normal universes.

“The entire Eldritch Court seems to have branches in dozens of universes, but the number of powerhouses from the other thirty-four branch Saintdoms combined only equal that of the Eldritch Court Universe."

Wu Yuan and Xuan Rong both nodded.

The power of the Eldritch Court was undisputable, evident in much of the intelligence they had previously received.

Whether in the quantity or quality of geniuses or super powerhouses, all had proven this point.

...

In another magnificent world beyond Wu Yuan and the others' perception, several super powerhouses appeared.

Their forms were towering, their auras vast, each occupying a corner of the world.

Whoosh! A beautiful black-robed woman appeared. She was as cold as a glacier, immediately drawing the attention of other super powerhouses.

"Hou Jue has arrived."

"Hou Jue, long time no see. Haha, the last time we met was in the Ancient Astral Sea."

"Hou Jue, you’re still as beautiful as ever." These Overlord-level beings conversed casually.

Standing at the apex of sempiternal lifeforms, they were mostly leaders who commanded their respective branch Saintdoms.

With a mere flick of their fingers, countless macrocosms could be overturned. Even Sovereigns had to bow respectfully before them.

This time, due to the opening of the Megaverse Crossroads, these great beings had rushed from various universes to the Eldritch Court Universe.

"It has been a long time indeed," Overlord Hou Jue responded to each one.

Her coldness was reserved for Sovereigns. When conversing with powerhouses of her own level, she wouldn't offend them on purpose, at most remaining silent.

"Hou Jue, I heard your Ling Jiang lineage has produced a youngster called Wu Yuan, whose talent rivals that of Zhu Shan. Quite remarkable," laughed an Overlord shrouded in crimson robes.

"His talent is exceptional, but there's no time left for him to grow," Overlord Hou Jue smiled. "Forget comparing him to Zhu Shan, he's even slightly weaker than your disciple Hou Xiao."

"Hou Xiao is indeed impressive, but if Wu Yuan breaks through, he too has a chance at the top ten." Another Overlord, taking on the form of living mist, said: "However, speaking of impressive, Zhu Shan still takes the crown. His cultivation speed is simply otherworldly."

"Indeed, it's inconceivable."

"I truly can't comprehend how he cultivates. A High Eldritch, reaching such a level?" These Overlords spoke one after another, all quite amazed.

Some of these Overlords were incredibly ancient, and had lived since the beginning of heaven and earth. They had seen countless monstrous prodigies, and it was extremely rare for someone to receive such praise from them.

When I first started translating YA, there were some things I thought were absolutely indispensable when translating, and I prioritized them above everything else. But I ended up struggling to meet deadlines as I was just too slow, basically making everyone unhappy, and not earning much as well lol ????

I've changed my workflow numerous times since then, and have been gradually translating at a faster rate. Now, I am proud to say that I have built some buffer on top of increasing the minimum words per chapter.

I'm still far, far from where I want to be and there are lots of adjustments I'll need to keep making to get to my version of an ideal translator, but I think it's important to celebrate the small wins in life too.

Thank you all for supporting YA, hope you enjoy the ride!!

On another note, finding an apartment in Germany is seriously tough. At this rate we're gonna be homeless in April lol. Please pray for us ????
